Graycliff Culinary Academy
Graycliff Hotel & Restaurant, the 5-star resort, has opened its kitchen doors to guests who wish to take a culinary tour like no other. The Graycliff Culinary Academy will offer guests interactive cooking classes by appointment.
Aspiring chefs will learn the culinary secrets of Graycliff Restaurant from Executive Chef Elijah Bowe and his team. No prior cooking experience is necessary, and a variety of cuisines are taught.
“Cuisine plays a huge role in Graycliff’s ambiance and experience,” explained Enrico Garzaroli, Chairman and CEO of the Graycliff. “This is why we are opening our kitchen to the public so that people can experience Graycliff’s culinary style first hand.”
A variety of cuisine and choices are available for students to pre-select for their class including Italian, Bahamian, French and Asian. Guests will prepare items from the Graycliff Restaurant menu such as: Lobster in a Puff Pastry, Bahamian Conch Chowder, Crispy Duck with Bahamian Citrus Sauce, Grouper Dijonnaise and desserts include Graycliff’s Guava Soufflé among others.
Class sizes are limited from 6 to 16 students. Class times are 10:30am to 2:30pm. All ingredients and materials needed for the Graycliff Culinary Academy will be supplied. Included in each session is lunch, consisting of the dishes prepared in that day’s class, accompanied by a glass of wine or other beverage. Lunch is served in the dining room by Graycliff’s waiters.
Following each session, each student receives copies of the recipes from class, a Graycliff Culinary Academy apron, and a certificate of participation to bring home from the Caribbean’s first five-star restaurant.
